Poly Vinyl Alcohol (PVA) is known for extremely high adhesion and cohesion. This makes use of PVA limited. When PVA is used in high proportions or as single component, it creates stiffness in yarn, high abrasions to mechanical parts of weaving machine, high yarn to yarn abrasion, multiple breaks at leasing, skin formation in size box, difficult desizing if used with starch. Some grades of PVA are also known for foaming in saw box. Environment concern also exists for its use. All these issues make use of PVA limited. It is extremely difficult to use PVA as a single sizing component.

INFISIZE SA4 is a formulation of PVA. PVA is a major component in it. The formulation is designed in such a way that the PVA does not exhibit the above demerits. This also makes it possible to use the product as a single shot.

INFISIZE SA4 can be used for sizing on cotton, polyester- cotton blends, regenerated cellulose, etc.

Add INFISIZE SA4 in cold water under continuous high speed stirring. Continue stirring till the suspension is lump free. Raise the temperature to >90° C. Maintain the temperature for at least 20 minutes under continuous low speed stirring. Transfer the solution to storage and add required. lubricant/softener. Continue stirring for 10 minutes before use.
